Call for Nominations: HBA's 2025 Woman of the Year, Honorable Mentor, and STAR Awards
As part of our ongoing commitment to Accelerating Transformational Leadership, the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) is now accepting nominations for our esteemed annual awards. These awards are designed to recognize and celebrate the exceptional women and men who are driving the advancement of women within the healthcare ecosystem.
Each year, the HBA honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry with three prestigious awards:
- HBA Woman of the Year: This award honors an outstanding female executive who has made substantial contributions to the healthcare industry through visionary leadership. She is a champion of equitable workplace practices and an inspiration to others, fostering an inclusive environment where all can thrive.
- HBA Honorable Mentor: This accolade celebrates a male ally who has shown unwavering commitment to advancing, mentoring, and promoting women in the healthcare industry. He is a steadfast advocate of the HBA’s mission and a driving force for gender equity.
- HBA STAR: The STAR award recognizes a dedicated HBA volunteer leader who has significantly contributed to the growth and stature of our community, United Force for Change. This individual has given time, attention, and support, helping to shape the future of the HBA.
The Woman of the Year Awards and Gala is one of the most anticipated events in the industry, providing global visibility for the honorees and their organizations. The 2024 event attracted over 1,500 in-person attendees and nearly 200 virtual participants from 111 companies across 24 countries.
As we look forward to the 2025 celebration, set to take place in Chicago on 9 May, we are thrilled to offer an even more accessible event, with expanded seating and transportation options to accommodate our growing global community.
The deadline for nominations is 22 October, so we encourage you to begin your submissions soon. Honorees will be notified in December, with a public announcement during JP Morgan Week in early January.
By celebrating these champions, we are not only recognizing their individual achievements but also highlighting leaders who are Accelerating Transformational Leadership and paving the way for a brighter future for women in healthcare.
