HBA Member Spotlight: Renata Tasselli, Senior Health Care Compliance Manager, Janssen Canada

Why did you join the HBA 
Our Company is a global sponsor of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and invited all employees to take advantage of a membership opportunity. I thought it would be a great way to expand my network after a recent relocation to Toronto. Additionally, I am always looking for development opportunities and saw that HBA has some excellent offerings.

What motivates you? 
I am a curious person by nature and am motivated every day to learn something…anything… new! 

Who or what inspires you? Now or in the past, at work or in your personal life.
I have been extremely fortunate to have had a number of very supportive line managers throughout my professional life.  Each one has taught me lessons about resilience, confidence, inclusion, and perseverance.  My job can often be challenging and lonely. In the moments when things get tough, I find myself thinking of advice or guidance that one of my managers may have given me in the past; and this encourages me to find a way forward.

Valuable skill you have learned or would like to learn
I would love to study Ikebana more.  The focus, inner calm, and balance it brings me is therapeutic; as well as the aesthetic pleasure an arrangement brings to my home.
