HBA Rochester Celebrates Our Award-Winning Volunteers
HBA Rochester is thrilled to recognize several of our outstanding volunteers who are making an impact in the healthcare industry and on the careers of women around the world. From time to time, our HBA location gives out two awards — the Honored Volunteer Award and the Spark Award — to recognize remarkable leadership and outstanding contributions. Four of our local leaders have received awards for their stellar contributions in the first half of 2023.
Erica Mann-Tallon and Dorothea Sanchez were recognized last month with the Honored Volunteer Award. The Honored Volunteer Award recognizes volunteer leaders who show strong commitment to the HBA, make an outstanding volunteer contribution, and have high energy and positive attitude.
Erica has organized and led several book club and networking events for our location, including a “Meet the HBA” event in Buffalo. Dorothea was a key volunteer for HBA Rochester’s Programming Committee in 2022. She is now a volunteer with HBA Patient Centricity.
Aly Facteau and Chantal Kivi were also recognized last month with the Spark Award. The Spark Award is a peer-to-peer recognition program which honors volunteers who have distinguished themselves through “little bursts of awesomeness” in areas such as attitude, collaboration, pitching in, consistency, leadership, and building community by supporting others.
Chantal recently organized and led a “Meet the HBA” event in Buffalo. Aly executed a “Syracuse Summer Social/Meet the HBA” event. Feel free to share with your network that Aly is organizing another Syracuse "Meet the HBA" event for 21 September! We hope to see you there.
Congratulations to Erica, Dorothea, Aly, and Chantal! Thank you so much for your valuable contributions. We’re so fortunate to have you!
