The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Honors AstraZeneca and Viseven with 2025 ACE Awards for Workforce Innovation and Global Impact
The HBA’s ACE Awards spotlight bold, people-first programs that are transforming how the industry develops, engages, and empowers its workforce.
FAIRFIELD, N.J., 13 August 2025 – The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) today announced the recipients of its 2025 Advancement, Commitment, and Engagement (ACE) Awards, honoring high-impact programs that are redefining workforce development across the healthcare industry. The ACE Awards recognize standout programs with bold strategies that prioritize people, scale globally, deliver measurable business and social outcomes, and honor the future of leadership and innovation in healthcare. This year’s honorees include:
- AstraZeneca, Young Health Programme (YHP), 2025 ACE Award
- Viseven, Expert Communities and Unicorns Recognition Program, 2025 ACE Aspire Award
“The ACE Awards highlight leadership that redefines workforce development in healthcare,” said Mary Stutts, CEO of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. “AstraZeneca and Viseven have both demonstrated how strategic, purpose-driven programs can empower talent, foster innovation, and generate meaningful business outcomes. This level of commitment to people-centered growth is essential for advancing the entire healthcare ecosystem.”
About AstraZeneca’s Young Health Programme (YHP)
The HBA ACE Award honors established programs that have demonstrated measurable success in engagement, innovation, and workforce development. AstraZeneca was recognized with the 2025 ACE Award for its long-standing Young Health Programme (YHP), a global health equity initiative focused on the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) – including cancer, diabetes, heart disease and respiratory disease – while also cultivating purpose-driven leadership among employees.
Celebrating its 15th year, the YHP is a community-driven program that seeks to advance health equity by activating underserved youth to reduce their risk of NCDs through peer education, local partnerships, and youth advocacy. To date, the initiative has directly reached more than 20 million young people across more than 40 countries in partnership with more than 60 not-for-profit organizations, including UNICEF and Plan International, while also mobilizing 20,000 AstraZeneca employees who have contributed nearly 100,000 hours of volunteer service.
YHP not only tackles critical global health challenges, but it strengthens AstraZeneca’s internal culture by connecting employees to meaningful work and volunteering opportunities that extend beyond their day-to-day roles. The program, through its youth leaders, has positively influenced 18 NCD prevention-related policies worldwide and continues to create leadership pathways for both youth and employees, driving sustainable impact across communities and within the company itself.
“We are honored to receive the HBA ACE Award for the Young Health Programme,” said Marc Dunoyer, Chief Executive Officer, Alexion and Chief Strategy Officer, AstraZeneca and Young Health Programme Senior Executive Team Sponsor. “The Young Health Programme demonstrates our commitment to communities and truly reflects our corporate values. By focusing on prevention and supporting young people to make informed health choices, YHP is helping to shape healthier futures – a transformative approach that will have a lasting impact for generations to come.”
About Viseven’s Expert Communities and Unicorns Recognition Program
The HBA ACE Aspire Award honors emerging programs that demonstrate strong early outcomes and the potential for lasting impact. Viseven was selected as the 2025 Aspire Award recipient for its Expert Communities and Unicorns Recognition Program – a newly launched initiative transforming how the company fosters internal engagement, collaboration, and culture.
Introduced in 2024, the program consists of two core components: Expert Communities, which promote cross-functional learning and professional development in key areas like project management, finance, and client engagement; and the Unicorns Recognition Program, a gamified platform where employees award “UniCoins” to peers who exemplify Viseven’s core values: passion, agility, curiosity, and empathy.
With more than 700 employees engaged to date, these initiatives are surfacing internal talent, enhancing peer connection, and building a scalable culture of innovation, appreciation, and shared growth – setting a powerful foundation for long-term organizational success.
“We are incredibly honored to receive the 2025 ACE Aspire Award from the HBA,” said Nataliya Andreychuck, CEO and Co-founder, Viseven. “At Viseven, we believe that sustainable growth begins with a strong internal culture. The Expert Communities and Unicorns Recognition Program is our way of investing in people – empowering them to lead, grow, and innovate together. This recognition affirms that putting people at the center of transformation isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s also how we build the future of healthcare.”
