Male Allyship in the Modern Workplace: Event Recap

Research has shown the significance of having allies to advocate for you and who help you advance in your career, and HBA SE Miami presented a lively and engaging panel discussion to recognize the importance of having Male Allies in the modern workplace.  The session was moderated by the incoming President of HBA Miami, Dr. Mari Escalon, and the outstanding panelists included:

  • Dr. Steven Ullmann, Chair of the University of Miami Herbert Business School’s Department of Health Policy and Management
  • Dr. Krishna Komanduri, Chair of the Division of Hematology and Oncology at UCSF and
  • Chris Brennan, Vice President for Business Development at Labcorp. 

Insightful perspectives, statistics and experiences were shared on the current state and ideas for advancement of women in our industry.  Managing how your story is shared, being intentional about making others aware of your achievements and asking for support were just a few pearls of wisdom shared with over 20 people in attendance – women as well as men.
