Fueling the Future of Possibilities at the Celebrated Equality Lounge® and with HBA India.

With an invitation from the renowned advocacy ally The Female Quotient (FQ), the HBA leveraged a unique opportunity to be visible with a global audience at two extraordinary events in India in early September including the FQ’s Equality Lounge® at the G20 Summit.

These first-ever forums offer an unprecedented platform to showcase the work of our United Force for Change and the incredible impact of our members, volunteers, stakeholders and Corporate Partners.

Hosted by HBA India, the first event convened nearly 60 people to meet with industry leaders. HBA’s CEO Mary Stutts led an open exchange during which participants heard from influential champions about their career journeys, experiences and personal insight about how we accelerate equitable outcomes in the workplace and for patients, together.

On the tailwinds of the first successful event, the spirited excitement grew exponentially for HBA’s first ever engagement at the day long Equality Lounge—a “destination for conscious leaders to collaborate and inspire collective action for change.”

As part of the day’s line up of influential leaders and gender advocate allies from myriad global industries, HBA’s Mary Stutts and our supportive partners shared the stage and their insights for a discussion on “Breaking Barriers: Empowering Women and Advancing Gender Equality in Healthcare.”

With women accounting for 62 percent of the global healthcare workforce, and 80 percent of the public healthcare workforce, it’s absolutely critical that the industry, the public and governments take action to ensure that women not only survive but thrive in the workplace. Opportunities such as these two events help propel the conversation, and position our vast network to better inform and influence impact and outcomes. Equally as important, it puts our mission and work center stage connecting with stakeholders, policy makers and media, both familiar and new.
