Global Leadership Awards

 

Global leadership awards are peer-nominated and presented annually by HBA Central as an esteemed recognition of outstanding achievements demonstrated by individuals across the association. These awards serve as a testament to the exemplary leadership, dedication, and impactful contributions made by the recipients, showcasing their remarkable commitment to advancing the mission and goals of the HBA community worldwide. 

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has exemplified effective leadership and dedication to the mission of the HBA and has had a measurable impact on the HBA organization, members, and/or corporate partners.

Criteria: The nominee has served in an HBA volunteer capacity for two or more years, recognized for their leadership efforts demonstrated.

Eligibility: Open to all Global, Affinity Group, Regional, and Chapter leaders

Who can nominate: All current volunteer leaders and HBA staff

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual/group who has demonstrated commitment, passion, and a drive for results whose outcome created a new process, product, service or recognition for the HBA that has/will positively benefit the association and operations.

Criteria: The nominee has led the development/successful launch of a new concept/product that has a positive financial impact that is sustainable over several years.

Eligibility: Open to all Global, Affinity Group, Regional, and Chapter leaders

Who can nominate: Current volunteer leaders and HBA staff

Purpose: This award recognizes an entire regional council that has excelled in an area of regional operations that exceeded the HBA’s membership and/or financial targets for the region and chapters within.

Criteria: Success is measured by membership growth and/or retention, number of programs or attendance, financial measures, marketing and/or PR achievements, participation on functional calls, collaborative participation, etc.

Eligibility: Open to all regions

Who can nominate: All current volunteer leaders and HBA staff

Purpose: This award recognizes an entire chapter board that has excelled in an area of chapter operations that exceeded the HBA’s membership and/or financial targets, policy compliance, and the chapter’s own expectations.

Criteria: Success is measured through membership growth and/or retention, the number of programs or attendance, financial measures, marketing and/or PR achievements, collaborative participation, member satisfaction, etc.

Eligibility: Open to all current chapters

Who can nominate: Current regional council leaders, chapter board leaders, and HBA staff.

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated consistent leadership that positively impacted their region and promoted excellence in furthering the HBA mission.

Criteria: The nominee has significantly contributed to organizational leadership, strategic and tactical planning, decision-making, and prioritization.  They have collaborated cross-functionally within the region, understand and provide input for financial success, and have been a champion through change management.

Eligibility: Open to current regional council leaders (chair, deputy chair, treasurer, functional presidents, and chapter presidents)

Who can nominate: All current volunteer leaders and HBA staff

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated consistent leadership that positively impacted their chapter and promoted excellence in furthering the HBA mission.

Criteria: The nominee has contributed significantly to organizational leadership, strategic and tactical planning, decision-making, and prioritization; has collaborated cross-functionally within the chapter and the region; understands and provides input for financial success and has been a champion through change management.

Eligibility: Open to current chapter board leaders (president, vice president, chapter operations director and DALs)

Who can nominate: Current regional council leaders, chapter board leaders, and HBA staff

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated consistent leadership that positively impacted corporate relations, fostered collaboration, and promoted excellence in furthering the HBA mission.

Criteria: The nominee has significantly contributed to organizational leadership, strategic and tactical planning, decision-making, and prioritization.  They have been collaborative cross-functionally as well as with chapters in the region, understand and manage the financial aspect of the functional area, and have been champions through change management.

Eligibility: Open to all Global, Affinity Group, and Regional Corporate Relations Leaders

Who can nominate: Current global committee for corporate relations, regional council leaders, and HBA staff.

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated consistent leadership that positively impacted member engagement, fostered collaboration, and promoted excellence in furthering the HBA mission.

Criteria for this award: Has significantly contributed to organizational leadership, strategic and tactical planning, decision making, and prioritization.  They have been collaborative cross-functionally as well as with chapters in the region. Understands and manages the financial aspect of the functional area and has been a champion through change management

Eligibility for this award: Open to all Global, Affinity Group, Regional, Chapter Engagement/Member Experience/Volunteer Experience/Member and Volunteer Engagement Leaders 

Who can nominate: Global committee chairs for engagement/member and volunteer experience, regional council leaders, chapter board leaders, and HBA staff. 

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated consistent leadership that positively impacted programming, fostered collaboration, and promoted excellence in furthering the HBA mission.

Criteria: Has significantly contributed to organizational leadership, strategic and tactical planning, decision-making, and prioritization.  They have been collaborative cross-functionally as well as with chapters in the region. Understands and manages the financial aspect of the functional area and has been a champion through change management.

Eligibility: Open to all Global; Affinity Group; Regional; Chapter Programming/Educations and Events/Member Value Offerings 

Who can nominate: Global Committee for Education and Events and Member Value Offerings, regional council leaders, chapter board leaders, and HBA staff.

Purpose: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated consistent leadership that positively impacted marketing and communications, fostered collaboration, and promoted excellence in furthering the HBA mission.

Criteria: Has made significant contributions to organizational leadership, strategic and tactical planning, decision making, and prioritization. They have been collaborative cross-functionally as well as with chapters in the region. Understands and manages the financial aspect of the functional area and has been a champion through change management.

Eligibility: Open to all Global; Affinity Group; Regional; Chapter Marketing and Communication Leaders.

Who can nominate: Global committee for marketing and communications, regional council leaders, chapter board leaders, and HBA staff.
