Meet Angela Cimino – our August member spotlight from the HBA Toronto

What is your current job title?
QC Stability Manager at Sanofi Pasteur.

Why did you join the HBA?
After attending the HBA Woman of the Year celebration, for the very first time, I was intrigued and curious about the Diversity, Inclusion and Equity journey at the HBA. Being an Indigenous woman, I have an interest in ensuring that Native American women are included and represented now and in the future. As it turns out, the HBA was already on top of that and thus, gave me great pleasure to join.

What are your interests outside of work and the HBA?
When not working or taking care of the home front, I enjoy baking for family and friends. In fact, I placed third in the Midland Ontario butter tart festival a few years ago. Due to the pandemic, the festival has been cancelled for the past two years but when it does resume, I fully intend on taking first place.

What or who inspires you?
Everyone I meet inspires me as everyone has an interesting journey in this life, everyone has struggles and triumphs and I love to hear about their resilience as a human.

Fun fact about you/ What’s your favourite quote?
A fun fact about me is that I love and admire horses and have plans to work with horses in retirement.
