HBA’s Honorable Mentor Award
Transforming the Industry Through Mentorship
The HBA Honorable Mentor Award recognizes a male leader whose mentorship, sponsorship, and advocacy have helped advance talent across the health ecosystem.
Honorable Mentor recipients demonstrate a sustained commitment to developing, mentoring, and promoting others while serving as engaged and passionate advocates for HBA and its mission.
In 2027, this recognition carries even greater significance as HBA marks its 50th anniversary—honoring extraordinary leadership at a defining moment in our collective history.
The honoree will take center stage at the FIVE Awards Gala, part of HBA’s new flagship experience, before an international audience of influential executives, sponsors, and media.
Nominations are now open for the 2027 HBA Honorable Mentor Award. Nominate a leader whose influence has elevated others, strengthened the industry’s talent pipeline, and created lasting impact through mentorship and sponsorship.
The standard nomination period closes 25 October. A late-submission window will remain open from 26 October through 6 November for an additional fee.
To nominate a candidate, follow these three steps:
1. Begin the nomination process by paying the $500/$650 submission fee* through the HBA Signature Awards submission page. You may be prompted to sign in to your HBA account or create one.
2. After submitting payment, check your email for a confirmation message containing your link to the Awards Nomination Platform.
3. Follow the link to create an account or sign in to the Awards Nomination Platform. Complete the required fields, upload the nominee’s biography, letters of recommendation, and photo, and respond to the following questions:
- Provide specific examples of how the nominee has mentored, sponsored, developed, and championed industry professionals, including the impact of their support on others’ growth and careers.
- Describe how the nominee has demonstrated exceptional leadership and fostered an environment where talent can thrive, innovation is encouraged, and others are empowered to lead and succeed.
- Share specific examples of how the nominee has actively supported and advocated for HBA, its mission, and its commitment to creating leaders for life.
- Describe the nominee’s lasting impact—what makes their approach distinctive, innovative or transformative?
