Rising Star and Luminary FAQs
HBA Rising Stars represent emerging leaders who exemplify dedication, leadership and the potential to drive the future of heathcare forward. They are outstanding contributors within their companies and, just as importantly, advocates for our industry workforce around the globe.
HBA Luminaries are seasoned and talented professionals who have significantly impacted the healthcare industry. They lead and serve as role models, actively mentoring others and driving impactful progress at their organizations and within the industry.
Please refer to the HBA congratulatory email confirming you accept this honor by 20 February 2026. This is where you will provide the following information:
- Preferred contact information
- High-resolution headshot (minimum of 2400 x 3000 pixels, 300 DPI)
- Name and company pronunciation
- RSVP for the Global Ascension Leadership Awards celebrations
- Record and submit a reaction video

In addition to being celebrated during HBA’s signature event--the Global Ascension Leadership Awards, Rising Stars and Luminaries receive a complimentary year of HBA membership and significant yearlong visibility through the HBA and our industry partners.
We recognize the annual cohort via a reaction video at the awards celebration event. Each honoree receives a free guest pass for the virtual stream. Additional passes can be purchased separately.
We are excited to celebrate you in person at our spring signature celebration, this year in San Diego, California. As an honoree, you will receive a complimentary seat at this event, where you will sit with other honorees, or at your company's table.
More information about this event, as well as booking travel and lodging, will be provided soon.
The HBA will announce the 2026 Rising Stars and Luminaries to our global community on 31 March 2026, and we ask that you keep this information embargoed until then!
We will provide honorees and their company key liaison with a personalized promotional social media toolkit:
- A personalized social media graphic with your photo/name/company
- Examples of social media copy for both you and your organization to post
To ensure a smooth and efficient awards process, there is a $75 late fee for submissions after the deadline.
This measure is intended to encourage timely participation and helps mitigate resource costs incurred for processing post deadline.
With honoring more than 150 plus Rising Stars and Luminaries annually, we want to ensure that we are able to deliver a seamless experience for all participants.
