The HBA Think Tank is a unique, member-guided consortium of healthcare and life sciences companies led by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). With a focus on advancing women in the industry, the Think Tank addresses systemic barriers through data insights, collaborative solutions, and quarterly programming centered on impactful themes.

The Think Tank operates on a data-driven, solutions-oriented model that focuses on four key areas:

  • Research & Surveys: Gathering insights from HBA members and healthcare thought leaders.
  • Reports & Insights: Delivering benchmarking reports and actionable insights based on data from member companies.
  • Thought Leadership: Producing resources such as co-authored articles, white papers, and webinars.
  • Quarterly Solution Summits: Hosting in-person and virtual events where members discuss best practices, challenges, and solutions to support women’s advancement.

While the HBA Think Tank is part of the HBA’s mission to support women’s advancement, it specifically addresses the systemic challenges that hinder progress for women in healthcare. Unlike other HBA programs focused on individual career development, the Think Tank delivers high-level insights, strategic benchmarking, and industry-wide solutions designed to impact workplace culture across organizations.

The Think Tank focuses on four core pillars impacting women in healthcare. These pillars guide its programming and research initiatives:

  1. Representation of Women in Leadership: Expanding pathways for women’s influence in leadership roles.
  2. Amplifying Women of Color in the Workplace: Supporting visibility, career progression, and opportunities.
  3. Women’s Health & Wellness: Addressing health disparities and promoting workplace wellness.
  4. Women’s Financial Acumen: Enhancing financial literacy, career progression, and wealth-building strategies.
