Dear HBA Community,  

The HBA Women of Color Affinity Group is excited to launch our inaugural Equal Pay Awareness contest – an opportunity to raise critical awareness about pay equity and highlight the ongoing disparities that impact women across diverse communities. 

By participating, you’ll spark meaningful, action-oriented conversations that drive real change. Your voice matters – and together, we can make a difference!  

How to Participate 

Create a compelling LinkedIn post (e.g., thought-piece article, video (max 2 minutes), a powerful photo, graphic) that highlights the significance of a specific Equal Pay Day and the urgent need to close the pay gap. To be eligible for the grand prize, your post must include: 

  • A relevant pay equity statistic (with source citation)
  • The hashtags #HBAEqualPayDay and #HBAWoC
  • A tag to the HBA Women of Color LinkedIn page

  • AANHPI Women’s Equal Pay Day: April 7
  • LGBTQIA+ Equal Pay Awareness Day: June 17
  • Black Women’s Equal Pay Day: July 10
  • NHPI Women’s Equal Pay Day: August 28
  • Latina Equal Pay Day: October 8
  • Disabled Women’s Equal Pay Day: October 23
  • Native Women’s Equal Pay Day: November 18 

 

How Winners Are Chosen 

🏆 Finalists: The post with the most reshares by the end of each Equal Pay Day will be featured on HBA’s LinkedIn page. 
🏆 Grand Prize: The finalist with the most reshares within 30 days of their original post wins an exclusive executive coaching session with Susan Childs, Founder of LCA Consulting, to enhance leadership skills and career growth.
