Meet Stephanie Davenport

I first got involved with the HBA when…I participated in the Women In Heallth Give Back Affinity Group in 2021.
Volunteering with the HBA is especially important to me because…I am able to make an impact on the lives of other women, network with likeminded women, and develop personally and professionally.
Volunteering has impacted my career by…giving me leadership tools and inspiration that I need to be successful.
My favorite part of volunteering is…the relationship building, networking, and developing lifelong friendships. We are a sisterhood!
The most valuable lesson I learned from fellow volunteers is…we all have unique gifts that are already inside of us, which need to be cultivated and shared. The HBA gives you the opportunity to do things that you may have thought that you could not do or did not have the courage to do. I was once told it is not about you, but how you can make a difference.
What would you advice to someone thinking about joining or volunteering with the HBA? Your gift is needed no matter how small you think it may be. You will enrich your life and the lives of others personally and professionally by becoming a member of HBA.

Is there anything else you’d like to share? Volunteering for the HBA Southeast Region and being a part of HBA Research Triangle Park chapter has been my greatest joy. The women I have met have a passion to ensure the success of the HBA and extend membership to as many peopleladies as possible. In addition, attending the annual conference gives me the push to excel and ignites a fire in me to do more to help our communities.
