Meet Nihan Ozcan

I first got involved with the HBA when I brought the Global Ambassador Program (GAP) to Türkiye. I heard about the HBA’s GAP on an Employee Resource Group (ERG) call and decided to bring this program to Turkish employees. This year we are having the third Cohort.
Volunteering with the HBA is especially important to me because the HBA's vision is my wish coming true. I trust the HBA's experience and influence when it comes to health industry-related matters. I believe the HBA is having an important impact on health authorities and industry, and it will have a greater impact with its ongoing geographic expansion.
Volunteering has impacted my career by helping me discover my strengths, understand my potential, and growing my network.
My favorite part of volunteering is meeting new people, discussing local issues and collaborating on new ways to create better outcomes.

The most valuable lesson I learned from a fellow volunteer is the importance of sharing the knowledge I have and giving back to the community.
What would you advice to someone thinking about joining or volunteering with the HBA? Participate in events as much as possible, share knowledge and best practices.
Is there anything else you’d like to share? I love the spirit of sharing and growing together.
