Being a Member Leader for the HBA is especially important to me because it allows me to connect with individuals who share my passion for both female empowerment and patient-centered care. As the Deputy Chair of HBA’s Patient Centricity Affinity Group, I’m surrounded by people who believe, as I do, that patients belong at the heart of healthcare. Together, we’re working to build a more human-centered and inclusive industry.
My involvement with the HBA has significantly expanded my network by connecting me with individuals I likely wouldn’t have met otherwise. As an independent consultant focused on patient-centered innovation and strategy, it’s critical for me to continuously broaden my perspectives—HBA gives me access to diverse thinkers and problem-solvers from across the healthcare ecosystem.

I stay engaged with the HBA because the HBA remains a powerful, consistent force amid an ever-evolving healthcare landscape. The organization reflects the values our industry must embrace to keep progressing, and staying involved helps ensure we’re part of that momentum.
I see myself contributing to the HBA’s vision of Creating Women Leaders for Life by championing patient-centered initiatives. Through my role, I strive to empower others to find their voice and purpose in the healthcare space.

During my time as an HBA Member Leader, the HBA has been a great place to develop leadership skills. Those who work in matrixed Pharma organizations understand how difficult “influencing without authority” can be. When the working team is comprised of volunteers who aren’t driven by financial gain or titles, it can be even more difficult at times! I appreciate the opportunities where I had to motivate my teammates to work together to deliver results.
What is your favorite part of serving as a Member Leader for the HBA?
My favorite part of serving as a Member Leader for the HBA is the opportunity to participate in events that are both fun and fulfilling. I love connecting with peers across the industry and learning how to grow as an empowered female leader—it’s both inspiring and energizing.
