In 2022, the HBA continued on a journey of change and transformation, responding to the needs of our community while keeping pace with the ever-changing world at large. It was a year to embrace a New Era of Leadership, leveraging the learnings from the previous year to propel our momentum forward. Together, we leaned into authenticity, flexibility, empathy, compassion and radical hospitality—characteristics personified by our global network of healthcare heavyweights.
Our United for Change community rose above the aftermath of challenges from the year previous to illuminate a year filled with impact, progress and successes. While our network experienced obstacles faced by many, we lifted each other up by celebrating with our largest Woman of the Year audience ever virtually, launched our inaugural Women of Color Wellness Summit and the Honoring Opportunities for Partnerships & Equity (HOPE) program, and increased our presence in the industry with the addition of 46 new Corporate Partners.
It was one challenging year, for the world at large and our HBA community. As we look back from a horizon of hope, it’s critically important to reflect on the progress, brilliance and opportunity that arose during these trying 365 days. Our United Force for Change quickly embraced an adaptive resiliency. This strength—the gift to not only successfully overcome the unexpected but to thrive—resulted in one of HBA’s most productive, successful, and rewarding years.
As an organization with a 40+ year history, we leveraged that experience and expertise to drive impact for women in our workforce. “Our Impact” celebrates all that we achieved together. Documented within, this report tells the story both with impressive data and compelling narrative of how our ever-growing network is an impressive force.
