HBA Rochester Event: Conscious Leadership - Unlocking Your Authentic Self to Serve Others

Written by Alexandra Capodicasa

On 25 March, Dan Santos and HBA Greater Rochester hosted a virtual event that discussed how to elevate one’s self-awareness via conscious leadership.

With over 20 years of industry experience—including more than 10 years leading large teams—Dan offers professional coaching services to individuals looking to elevate their impact both in life and at work.

Dan Santos began by defining conscious leadership as purpose-driven individuals who are in tune with their emotions, beliefs, and bodies—and who cultivate that same healthy harmony within their workplace culture. Behaviors shape results, and becoming a conscious leader requires adopting a new set of behaviors.

Event Key Takeaways

  • To achieve new behaviors, one must consider their language, presence, emotions, and purpose.
  • Dan’s talk felt transcendental as he elaborated on how to connect with our purpose, stressing the importance of feeling autonomous, connected and peaceful in this world.
  • The importance of play and physical well-being resonated with many participants, particularly in today’s hustle culture.

Thank you again to our fabulous presenter, Dan Santos and to all of the participants. Special appreciation to Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Greater Rochester organizers Erica Mann-Tallon, Melissa Grey and event recap author Alexandra Capodicasa
