Why did you join HBA?
As an entrepreneur and business owner, I joined to promote, support, and connect with other women in the healthcare industry.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by the sense of purpose I feel when we conduct real world evidence studies using the Canadian health system data. These studies not only generate novel evidence to inform decision-making, but also ensure populations not typically included in clinical trials are represented, including pregnant women, seniors, rural populations, and those with complex conditions.

A risk that you couldn't imagine not having taken
I moved from Hamilton, Ontario to the UK to complete my undergraduate degree. I am amazed by my youthful optimism and self-assurance to live in a foreign country at 18 years old. These days whenever I experience self-doubt or fear of failure, I try to channel this same courage and bold confidence. Plus, I imported my husband from the UK, so it certainly was a risk I couldn’t image not taking!
