HBA Rochester Networking: Walk With Me Post-Event Recap
On Saturday, 22 July, HBA Rochester members enjoyed the first of many scheduled outdoor “Walk With Me” events. The “Walk With Me” series is an opportunity for members to come together, network, and enjoy the fresh outdoors as they casually explore various parks and recreational areas in the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes area. The morning walk on 22 July, led by Mallory Scott, was a jaunt through Highland Park, a Frederick Law Olmsted designed “tree garden.” HBA members joining the “Walk With Me” series debut event were Mallory Scott, Jessie Peters, Sydney Simpson, Antra Ziedins-Gilbank, and Lori Sussle Bonanni.
HBA Rochester members were up and at it again for a second time in the monthly series of “Walk With Me” events. On Saturday, 12 August, members explored Ellison Park. Rebecca Herman, HBA Rochester’s Director at Large of Programming, led the group on an hour-long guided hike through this beautiful Penfield-area landmark. Members enjoyed coffee and snacks afterwards, and received HBA water bottles! HBA members who partook in the 12 August morning walk were Rebecca Herman, Antra Ziedins-Gilbank, Dorothea Sanchez, Yu Wang, and Cherrie Felisbret (a visiting guest from HBA Central New Jersey).
These Saturday morning hikes are a great way to get your day started, engage in casual conversation with HBA Rochester members, and get to know some of the fabulous parks and recreation areas that are available to us in the area! All are welcome to join — children and friendly pets are encouraged to attend as well.
Are you interested in leading a 60-minute walk/hike at one of your favorite parks in the future? Please reach out to Rebecca Herman — we welcome your involvement!
