Message from the Regional Chair, Spring 2022

Dear members and friends of the HBA New England region,

Spring is here and has brought with it sunshine, activity, and some small glimmers of “normal” – all of which are so welcome. I hope you have all had an opportunity to engage in activities that have not been possible for some time.

Introducing Our Chapter Presidents

This month, I’m pleased to introduce you to our three chapter presidents:

Each of these leaders has been part of their chapters in a leadership capacity for a few years and has great visions for the future. As members of our HBA Regional Council, Betsy, Jennifer, and Jennifer work together to enhance our regional offerings, while also bringing value to their specific chapters.

National Volunteer Week

This week we are celebrating National Volunteer Week and I want to give a special thank you to all volunteers across the region who dedicate their time and energy to supporting the HBA. Throughout the week, volunteers from around the globe are taking over the HBA social media accounts to share their personal volunteer experiences. HBA New England Leadership Institute 2022

In February we held our annual Leadership Institute (LI), which brings together the entire regional council volunteer group to brainstorm ideas and discuss HBA New England’s 2022 goals. Our key themes this year focus on membership, volunteer recognition, and event participation. We came away from the LI with a number of exciting ideas and key action items. This summer we will hold a town hall where we can provide updates on the key initiatives from the LI.
