HBA Orange County Welcomes New Programming Director to Board
HBA Orange County is pleased to welcome Annum Zhara to the Board of Directors as the new Programming Director at Large (DAL). Annum has served as a key member of the programming committee since January 2020, significantly contributing to the success of the committee. Last year, she was honored with a Spark award for her role in organizing and implementing the chapter’s HB8 networking series in partnership with executive leaders within Orange County.
As the Programming DAL, Annum will develop and execute the chapter’s programming plans to deliver robust and relevant educational programs and networking events to the HBA Orange County community. She will also build and manage a dynamic committee and ensure committee members have the tools, resources, and training needed to successfully execute program and event planning.
Annum is a Clinical Project Manager in Oncology at Biosplice Therapeutics. She previously worked for Allergan in Medical Affairs and Drug Development Operations, and for Gossamer Bio in clinical operations while completing her Master of Science degree in clinical epidemiology. For her professional contributions, Annum has received an Allergan Award for Excellence and a Gossamer Gratitude award. Annum also serves on the Board of Directors for The Africa Project, supporting children in Nkandla, South Africa, who have been impacted by AIDS and extreme poverty. She is a member of HBA’s Women of Color affinity group, as well as the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.
