ThinkForward Talk #1 : The Blueprint We've Ignored: Why Women's Health is the Key to Breakthrough Science

Presenter(s): Oriana Kraft, Founder, FemTechnology

For decades, medicine treated women as anomalies. But what if the future of longevity, brain health, and chronic disease is locked inside the female body? By closing the data gap, we don't just serve women, we unlock the next era of precision medicine for all.

9:25 – 10:25 am

Staying the Course: The Power of Executive Leadership in Closing the Women's Health Gap

Moderator: Mary Stutts, CEO, Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA)

Panelists: Kathryn Godburn Schubert, MPP, CAE, President & CEO, Society for Women's Health Research (SWHR); Dr. Eliza Lo Chin, MD, MPH, Executive Director, American Medical Women's Association (AMWA); Jonathan Webb, MPH, MBA, CEO, Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)

In today’s rapidly evolving environment, programs and policies that center women’s health and well-being are increasingly vulnerable to disruption. But one fact remains unchanged: women make up more than 70% of the global healthcare workforce, and they are the primary healthcare decision-makers and caregivers in most families. Supporting their health is not optional —it’s a workforce imperative and a driver of patient outcomes and system-wide resilience.

This powerful opening panel features healthcare association executives who have long championed the importance of women’s health as foundational to public health and organizational sustainability. Together, these leaders will explore how the healthcare industry can sustain momentum, preserve trust with the communities they serve, and reinforce the business imperative of prioritizing women’s health and well-being.

In a moment where doing so is both more challenging and more essential than ever, this conversation will highlight what bold, sustained leadership looks like — and why women’s health must remain central to a future-ready healthcare ecosystem.

10:30 – 11:30 am
