Call for Facilitators

The HBA seeks energetic and thoughtful facilitators for the 2024 Annual Conference Connection Circles.  

Leveraging the expertise of facilitators, these circles are designed to stimulate an engaging experience where small cohorts of industry professionals come together to delve into speakers and sessions that ignite inspiration, provoke thought, and perhaps even unsettle the status quo. Connection Circles are more than just discussions—they're a platform for participants to articulate their conference aspirations, swap valuable resources, narrate their stories, and forge connections that transcend the conference setting. 

Join us in shaping an environment where ideas flourish, perspectives converge, and relationships evolve beyond the confines of the conference space. 

Here’s how it works:

• Participants sign up for Connection Circles when completing their Annual Conference registration.
• They are then placed in a group of up to 20 participants and assigned a Connection Circle Facilitator.
• Facilitators participate in a virtual orientation meeting in August, then contact their group just prior to the conference for introductions and to confirm participation.
• Each group meets two to three times during the conference at designated times (schedule and location to be provided closer to the conference dates).

Ideal facilitators:

• Revel in forging new connections
• Excel as conversationalists
• Demonstrate active support and engagement with the HBA
• Possess a knack for linking individuals, programs, and ideas
• Commit to attending the entire duration of the Annual Conference program
