Meet Rafaella Kanbar

Volunteering with the HBA is especially important to me because it aligns perfectly with my goals and passions. I'm deeply committed to uniting women to drive transformative change in healthcare, and the HBA provides an ideal platform for realizing this vision.

Volunteering has impacted my career by opening doors to new opportunities, expanding my professional network, and enhancing my skills in areas such as leadership, teamwork, and agile project management.

My favorite HBA event I ever attended was a personal branding workshop that I created and led. I loved bringing Miami’s healthcare community together to unleash their superpowers. It was a night full of energy, inspiration, and ideation.

Volunteering has expanded my network by connecting me with powerful leaders in healthcare, opening up opportunities for both personal and professional partnerships.

The most valuable lesson I learned from a fellow volunteer is empower each other, root for each other, we can all be a “Superstar Enabler” for someone.

My employer encourages me to volunteer for HBA because TBWA\WORLDHEALTH is deeply committed to making a tangible impact on health equity. Being a partner of the HBA is just one of the many ways we put our vision into action.

What skills have you acquired or fine-tuned during your time as an HBA volunteer that you feel will help you Accelerate Transformational Leadership?
I've sharpened my agile planning skills and attention to detail while organizing empowering events. As an Experience Strategist, I frequently lead Transformational Customer Experience Workshops with clients, applying the same dedication and creativity honed through event planning.

Volunteering for the HBA is fun and rewarding. I enjoy making new connections, friends, and expanding my knowledge base.

I first got involved with the HBA when I attended my very first event, as a 2023 Rising Star. I was so honored and ecstatic to be appointed with this amazing recognition.

I applied for my current role with the HBA because I'm deeply passionate about fostering connections among inspiring women and crafting engaging events as a platform for promoting health equity.

What would be your advice to someone thinking about joining or getting more involved with the HBA? Identify what ignites your passion and actively pursue it within the HBA community. Here, you'll discover ample creative freedom and a supportive network eager to help turn your ideas into reality.
