Since 2001, Syneos Health has been a longstanding corporate partner of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) and aligned with its mission of furthering the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. Syneos Health has a tradition of community volunteerism and several of our leaders have committed their resources and expertise to the HBA, through the board and regional/local leadership to support HBA initiatives including brand building, relevance, thought leadership and mentoring.

Global Employee Recognition Programme
The Syneos Health Rising Star and Luminary employee recognition programme – using criteria set forth by the HBA – seeks annual nominations from across our global organisation. This programme – one of our many diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives – recognises exceptional female talent for their business contributions and commitment to our mission – to help our customers improve and accelerate the delivery of therapies that impact health worldwide – and values – challenge the status quo, collaborate to deliver solutions and passionate to change lives. To date, this programme has externally recognised 50+ HBA Rising Stars and 10+ HBA Luminary honorees and internally recognised 110 nominees representing the Americas, EMEA, UK, Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

One of our corporate visions is to embed a culture of equitable opportunities where every woman within ADVANZ PHARMA has access to a level playing field and we can all make the most of opportunities and reach our potential. The HBA provides the perfect platform for the ADVANZ Women’s Network (AWN) to connect with other like-minded healthcare and life-science professionals who all share a common passion, to ensure gender parity. It also offers us the opportunity to network and learn from others while giving us the opportunity to share our expertise via our volunteers at the same time.
In 2020, ADVANZ PHARMA worked closely with HBA London (their head office is based in London) immensely benefiting from working with other volunteers to arrange events, networking and simply learning from each other. We are looking to expand our presence within other chapters in 2021, to ensure our staff, who are based in all regions of the world, are exposed to the benefits of the HBA. The collaboration between AWN and the HBA is essential to support our mission to provide a supportive network and arm women with the resources to help them develop and grow their careers through mutual guidance, mentoring, coaching and professional development programs so that they have the right skills, knowledge and confidence to achieve their aims.
