HBA Atlanta is pleased to welcome Megan Eckerman to the executive board as the director-at-large for marketing and communications. The board provides leadership to advancing the HBA’s purpose to further the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare.
Megan is an exciting addition to the team bringing breadth and depth of experience to the marketing committee. She’s been a member of the HBA for two years and recently relocated to the Atlanta area.
Megan Eckerman is the founder of IniMEG, a marketing agency focused on helping start-ups and well as small and mid-cap companies develop their commercial strategies. After spending nearly 20 years in the medical device industry holding several sales and marketing positions ranging from a territory sales representative to a global marketing executive, her journey from the “bag to the board room” propelled her to leverage her unique perspective and help companies develop business and marketing strategies that will translate into both long and short-term revenue.
Prior to IniMEG, Megan served as the vice president of global marketing at CryoLife, a $250M company focused on delivering aortic therapies to cardiac and vascular surgeons and vice president of global marketing at Bolton Medical, a start-up in the cardiovascular market, where she built the marketing function and played a critical role in their exit to Terumo.
Before embarking on her executive track, Megan spent 10 years at Medtronic where she held several roles in both sales and marketing.
Megan graduated with a BA in kinesiology from Indiana University and completed her MBA at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and served four years in the United States Air Force.
