HBA Houston Honored Volunteer award was presented in January to Mary Jimenez. Mary was nominated for her commitment and many contributions as a volunteer for HBA Houston. Since her initial involvement with the HBA in 2006, Mary recognizes the benefits of the HBA and the value of network connections. Mary demonstrates the positive attitude, initiative and enthusiasm necessary to continue the growth of HBA Houston. Most recently, Mary led the coordination and execution of an educational and engaging speaker program for HBA Houston, which brought significant value to our members and guests.
Mary began her career in healthcare in 1991 and since then, has been able to follow her professional passions of both making a difference and enhancing professional development. Her leadership and board positions across multiple organizations has allowed her the opportunity to collaborate and mentor teams on development programs, as well as provide them with growth opportunities to speak, network and participate on panel discussions.
Currently, as regional program manager at Genentech, she manages the field resources and provides business analytics for leadership teams. Mary also supports other organizations and serves as president of Health Cell, Genentech Womens Professionals and Thrivewell.
She has been happily married for 25 years to Charlie Jimenez and has three amazing children, John Carlo, Lorenzo and Isabella. Her hobbies include running with her running group, watching her kids swim competitively and shopping wherever...whenever.
Thank you, Mary, for your collaboration and your support and dedication to inspire and further the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. HBA Houston would not be possible without the contributions of volunteers like Mary. She is an extraordinary volunteer that has played a significant role in building the HBA presence in Houston. We are lucky to have Mary as part of our HBA Houston team.
