Social media manager
Preferred skill set:
  • Familiarity and experience in social media, especially LinkedIn and Twitter, or a willingness to self-educate and learn these skills
  • Ability to develop and stick with a social media posting schedule
  • Desire to engage with HBA members/prospects and sponsors through social media
Estimated time Rrequirement:
2-6 hours per week (depending on current events/social media proficiency)
  • Maintain social media platforms for the HBA Atlanta
  • Post on Twitter regularly, several times a week (and a few times a day if possible); Use #HBAimpact on all posts to amplify message
  • Post to LinkedIn and Facebook (but not necessary as often as Twitter)
  • Retweet relevant posts from our sponsors, other HBA chapters (using #HBAimpact to search) and influencers
  • Regularly engage HBA members/prospects on social media
  • Recognize member and chapter accomplishments through social media
  • Promote HBA Atlanta events, sponsorships and information through all social media platforms
  • Post social events several times prior to event on all social media platforms
  • Post messages after events thanking our event sponsors
  • Provide wording and assistance to encourage other HBA Atlanta members to spread our messaging through social media
  • Live tweet at events with pictures, quotes, information, etc. from the event
  • Comply with HBA corporate social media guide

Content strategist/writer

Preferred skill set:
  • Strong writing and communication skills and excellent grammar or a willingness to self-educate and learn these skills
  • Ability to write persuasively
  • High attention to detail
  • Good review/editing skills
Estimated time requirement:
2-6 hours per week
  • Write content for HBA Atlanta collateral such as eblasts, newsletter articles, website, flyers, etc.
  • Work closely with programming and other areas to promote HBA Atlanta events and programs
  • Review and edit HBA Atlanta collateral for optimal messaging and accuracy and to ensure compliance with HBA style guide and brandbook
  • Help create and place collateral to help promote HBA Atlanta


Preferred skill set:
  • Photography and videography skills and experience or a willingness to self-educate and learn these skills
  • Ability to edit and enhance photos/videos as needed
  • Interpersonal skills to engage others and capture highlights from programs and events
Estimated time requirement:
1-6 hours week depending on current events/programs
  • Take photographs and videos at HBA Atlanta events
  • Work with content strategist and social media manager to promote photos/videos through our collateral and social media
  • Work closely with programming, mentoring and other DAL’s to capture and promote HBA Atlanta programs

Marketing specialists

Preferred skill set:
  • Willingness to assist with marketing tasks as needed to help promote HBA Atlanta
  • This is a great opportunity to learn the marketing process and specialize in areas of interest (i.e. working with writer, social media, design, photography/video, etc.)
Estimated time requirement:
1-6 hours per week depending on your availability
  • Assist in promoting HBA Atlanta
  • May involve assisting at HBA Atlanta events, assisting in the development of collateral and/or helping to coordinate marketing activities
  • Work with other marketing committee members as needed on special projects and activities
Groups audience:
