Laura McConchie, CMP joined the HBA in October 2019 as manager, central meetings and events where she looks forward to creating influential and innovative events.

Laura brings to the HBA over 15 years of non-profit association event planning experience and has been a certified meeting professional since 2011 and recently completed a course that certifies understanding for the role of a pandemic compliance advisor for live meetings and events. Prior to the HBA, Laura worked with a non-profit HR association on their events and exhibits team.

Outside of work, Laura is a mother of two sons, two-step sons, a grandmother to Liam and Ryder; and a mom to Shephard mix named, Nero. She loves the beach and spending time at her weekend oasis near the Northern Neck of Virginia. She also enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family
and friends.
